Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscar Winners

AMPAS.OscarsOn February 24, 2019, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held their Annual 91st Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, announcing the 2019 Oscar winners. Celebrity presenters also took to the stage including Dana Carvey, Chef Jose Andres, Queen Latifah, Diego Luna, congressman John Lewis, Tom Morello, Trevor Noah, Amandla Stenberg, Mike Myers, Barbara Streisand, and Serena Williams.

The show also featured musical performances by Queen Latifah, Adam Lambert, and Jennifer Hudson, as well as Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and Bette Midler.

Bohemian Rhapsody led the Academy Awards, taking home four awards in the actor, film editing, sound mixing, and sound editing categories. With three wins each, Roma, Black Panther, and Green Book were close behind, winning best picture alongside gold for original screenplay and supporting actor.

Best Original Screenplay:

Best Cinematography:

Best Costume Design:
Black Panther – Ruth E. Carter

Best Makeup & Hairstyling:
Vice – Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia DeHaney

Best Foreign-Language Film:
Roma – Mexico

Best Production Design:
Black Panther – Hannah Beachler and Jay Hart

Best Documentary Feature:
Free Solo – Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin, Evan Hayes and Shannon Dill

Best Original Song:
