Band Pro to Host One World on HD Open House

November 18, 2009 | By Scott Lehane

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Band Pro Film & Digital will host its annual One World on HD Open House at its headquarters in Burbank, Dec. 17, following a new Digital Seminar Series, Dec. 15-16.

The popular mid-December event gives filmmakers a chance to hobnob with colleagues in a low-key, friendly atmosphere, with complementary food and drink. This year, in conjunction with the Santa Fe Digital Cinematography Workshops, the company is sponsoring an in-depth Sony F35 camera training session, led by the company’s head of digital cinematography technology, Jeff Cree. Known for his extensive CineAlta expertise, Cree will teach filmmakers the “secrets” of the F35’s menus. This day-long training, (geared towards DITs), is free to those who sign up through Band Pro.

The company will also host its first 3D Symposium—an informative panel and presentation on the state of 3D production, as well as technology displays from some of the most innovative camera, software and hardware manufacturers in the industry. – Scott Lehane
