Utah Production Company Brings the Magic of Santa Claus to Struggling Families

-

Santa at Front DoorSalt Lake City-based film production and events company Power & Industry is now accepting donations for its 5th annual Christmas 4 Families campaign.

“We started with four families in 2009. As of this year we have had the opportunity to provide Christmas to 83 single parents and their families,” said Daniel Thompson, spokesperson for Christmas 4 Families. “What is unique about us is the Friday before Christmas we bring a real life Santa Claus to deliver food, gifts and clothing to families who may be struggling during the holiday season.”

The program is widely known through local community organizations and church groups across the state. Recipients are privately suggested through Power & Industry’s website and are encouraged to share their message: “That giving isn’t a sometime thing, but an all-time thing.”

Thompson explained that the most requested items were shoes, jackets and basic necessities. “I believe most people think of toys or video games when it comes to Christmas, but there are families out there who just need the essentials.”

Donations are accepted through Power & Industry’s website and people are invited to accompany Santa Claus when he delivers the presents.
