Miami-based 2C announced that it has hired Omar Acosta as creative director, design. Acosta will report to 2C president and executive creative director Chris Sloan.

“We are ecstatic to bring aboard a design visionary of Omar’s caliber,” said Sloan. “He’s got that ideal blend of artistic vision, leadership and skill that will motivate an already superb team and help move us to the next level of design capability.”

Launched in 2005, 2C produces promos, rebrands, show packaging, main titles, brand integrations, live-action shoots and original series for TV networks, studios and national advertisers.

“I see this as an opportunity to progress creatively,” said Acosta. “There is so much potential to do stellar work – especially with the team already in place – that I couldn’t turn down the opportunity.”

Acosta comes to 2C with more than 10 years of experience as a design director, creative director and producer. For the past six years, he ran his own boutique studio producing an array of design spots for such brands as MTV, NBC, Yahoo!, Microsoft and Def Jam. Acosta held previous creative posts at Microsoft Surface, Prologue Films, Yahoo! and MTV Latin America.
