Lola Lott, owner/CEO of charlieuniformtango, announced that editor Gordon Carey has signed with the company for exclusive representation in the Southwest. “Gordon brings such a rich record of creativity and success, we’re excited to have him with us for exclusive representation in the Southwest,” Lott said. “His talents will be a great asset to our clients. We’ve already bid a job for him out of Dallas.”

Carey was born and raised in Los Angeles. He began his career as a page at ABC-TV in Hollywood. There, he developed a passion for film that led him to commercial postproduction. He has been cutting commercials for more than 20 years, working with many of the best agencies and directors in the business. He was most recently at Butcher Editorial. He spent the majority of his career at Filmcore, now known as Beast.

“I’m looking forward to working in Texas,” Gordon said. “I’ve heard great things about charlieuniformtango – about their work and their people. I’m excited to be part of the team, and I know my editing sensibilities will be a great fit there.”

Carey has edited many high profile campaigns, including ESPN’s “This is SportsCenter” for Wieden + Kennedy, Holiday Inn’s “Meet Mark” for Fallon, and Toyota’s “Swagger Wagon” for Saatchi & Saatchi. He recently wrapped up projects for AT&T, Yahoo Fantasy Baseball and ReMax. Gordon edited the revered “Cat Herders” spot for EDS, which first aired during Super Bowl XXXIV. This marked one of six times his spots have appeared during the Super Bowl. His spots have won awards including the AICE Editing Award, Cannes Gold Lion and Emmy Awards.
