Optimus announced that it has promoted Dana Huiras to offline editor. Huiras has worked with such clients as Shedd Aquarium, Payless ShoeSource and Girls Inc. and with a range of agencies, including DDB and Marc USA.

“Dana consistently impresses clients and coworkers with her confidence, creativity, resourcefulness and easygoing personality,” said Optimus editor Deb Schimmel. “She has been working toward this goal with a laser focus, and we have no doubt she will continue to shine in her new role.”

Huiras has been at Optimus since 2008, when she started as an intern after graduating from Columbia College. She joined the offline department in 2011, where she polished her assistant skills with several seasoned editors and gained a wealth of knowledge about the industry. She was promoted to senior assistant in December 2013, while continuing to develop her editorial style with a range of projects.

“To craft your skills in all editing genres, you really need to get your hands on different projects and experiment as much as possible,” said Huiras. “Optimus encourages individuals to push themselves to find what they are passionate about and to collaborate with the like-minded people around them. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the talented roster of editors at Optimus.”
