Cine Gear Expo Returns to Paramount Studios, June 4-7

-

LR-CG_ParamountCine Gear Expo will return to Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, June 4-7. For 20 years, the Cine Gear Exhibition and Seminar Series has brought together artists and technicians to share the latest tools and techniques of the film industry in a casual atmosphere.

The four day event will kick off June 4 with the Film Competition finalist screenings of student shorts, independent shorts and the new commercial/music video competition. Winners in each category will take home prizes, (including a Blackmagic URSA EF 4K Super 35 Camera), at the awards presentation June 5.

This year, Cine Gear will host 300 exhibits lining the studio back lot and filling three soundstages, including manufacturers, rental houses, guilds, associations and trade journals. The exhibitions are open June 5 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. and June 6 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The event will also feature 25 complimentary seminars, panels and screenings organized by manufacturers and associations as well as Cine Gear’s own master class seminars on June 7, with topics covering lighting, camera and camera support.

In addition, the show will feature three complimentary blockbuster feature film screenings and expert panels. The audience will be treated to state-of-the-art projection systems in the Paramount and the Sherry Lansing Theaters and a special 4K feature screening from Sony Electronics on Friday evening.

A VIP awards party will cap off the event, where the Legacy Lifetime Achievement award and the Technical Lifetime Achievement award will be bestowed on individuals and companies who have advanced the art and craft of filmmaking.
