Academy of ArtThe Academy of Art University’s School of Animation & Visual Effects will be hosting  an exclusive live webinar on December 3rd, 7 pm PST, with Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Willmott and Lead Actor, Co-Writer and Producer Trai Byers to discuss the filmmaking and visual effects process behind their recent historical film, The 24th.

Directed by Willmott and co-written with Byers, The 24th is a true story about members of the US Army’s all-Black 24th Infantry Regiment involved in a deadly uprising in Houston in 1917.

Faculty and students from the School of Animation and Visual Effects’ StudioX collaborated with Willmott and completed the visual effects shots in StudioX at the Academy.

The event is free and open to the public as a part of the ongoing 2020 School of Animation and Visual Effects Industry Week, and time will be allotted for Q&A from the attendees.
