Tom Walsh Re-elected as Art Directors Guild President

In a close vote, Thomas A. Walsh has won a third term as president of the Art Directors Guild, Local 800 of the International Association of Theatrical & Stage Employees. The margin of victory over opponent Nelson Coates was 21 votes. Walsh, an Emmy Award-winning production designer, will serve another three-year term.

Chad Frey is the newly elected vice president of the ADG, and past secretary Cate Bangs was selected as treasurer.  The guild’s secretary is Liza Frazza. They will also serve three-year terms.

The guild represents nearly 2,000 members who work throughout the United States, Canada and the rest of the world in film, television and theater as production designers, art directors, and assistant art directors; scenic, title and graphic artists; illustrators and matte artists, and set designers and model makers.
