American Society of Cinematographers Announces 35th Annual ASC Awards Nominees

35thASC2021On Wednesday, March 10, the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) announced the nominees for its 35th Annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in both feature films and television at a livestream from the ASC Clubhouse.

ASC President Steven Lighthill and Vice-President John Simmons announced the nominees with the winners to be presented with their awards at a virtual ceremony streamed from the Clubhouse on Sunday, April 18, 2021 on the American Cinematographer Facebook page.

Filmmaker Sofia Coppola will receive the Board of Governors Award.

The nomination in the seven film and television categories are:

Phedon Papamichael, ASC, GSC for The Trial of the Chicago 7
• Joshua James Richards for Nomadland
Newton Thomas Sigel, ASC for Cherry
