A24’s Zola and Disney’s Encanto — the first time those two movies have appeared in the same sentence before, no doubt — were among the big winners at the Guild of Music Supervisors‘ 12th annual awards ceremony, which took place on Sunday.

Netflix’s Tick, Tick… Boom! (supervised by Steven Gizicki), and Lionsgate’s comedy Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (Julianne Jordan, Justine von Winterfeldt) were also among the night’s victors, while HBO’s The White Lotus (Janet Lopez) and Lovecraft Country (Liza Richardson) took the top TV trophies.

Lopez used her thoughtful acceptance speech to thank the music makers of Hawaii and express gratitude for being part of the acclaimed project, which is already shooting Season 2 in Italy.

Elsewhere, Mandi Collier won twice for her work on both Zola and Sylvie’s Love, while Lin-Manuel Miranda added another trophy to his mantle thanks to his Oscar-nominated Encanto song “Dos Oruguitas,” which is sung by Sebastian Yatra.

13-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren was presented with the Icon Award in recognition of the number of hit tracks she has contributed to movies over the years. Mitchell Leib presented Warren with her award before she in turn presented him with the Guild’s Legacy Award.

Other presenters included Oscar nominees Javier Bardem and Jessica Chastain, BFFs Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo from Barb and Star, Marlon Wayans, Lil Dicky, Glen Hansard, Rufus Wainwright, and Miranda, while Aloe Blacc was among the artists who performed virtually.

Founded in 2010, The Guild of Music Supervisors hosts networking and educational events throughout the year, including the well-respected State of Music in Media Conference.
