Zach Balch has joined Level 77 Music as National Division Manager.

An award-winning musician, record producer, recording engineer, and production music sales executive, Balch will direct sales for the company’s rapidly growing catalog across the U.S. and seek new business relationships among film and television producers, advertising agencies, corporate media, and branded media producers, among others.

“We are thrilled to have Zach join our team,” Level 77 Music founder/CEO Patrick Avard said in a statement. “He brings a passion for music in all its forms, and proven expertise in production music. He is going to be a tremendous asset in developing new relationships and building awareness for our catalog.”

Balch said he’s excited by the opportunity to help expand Level 77 Music’s presence, especially in key media markets.

“Level 77 Music is well-positioned to grow and grow quickly. The company has a positive energy and a focused and skilled team. Although new to the national market, they’ve already enjoyed impressive success,” Balch said in a statement.

“I am particularly excited about building our client base in the West Coast entertainment industry,” he added. “I see tremendous untapped potential among film, television, and streaming producers. Patrick Avard and his team have done a remarkable job with quality control and in producing albums with specific targets. The catalog also has a lot of variety. Those are strong selling points for producers who utilize a high volume of music.”

Balch got his start in the music industry with the Texas office of the Recording Academy, producers of the Grammy Awards. He worked with artists and other industry professionals involved in Austin’s vibrant music scene. He joined FirstCom Music (now Universal Production Music) as Regional Account Director in 2014 and placed tracks in national spots for Toyota, Doritos, Coca Cola, and other high-profile brands. He also made placements in television shows featured on the El Rey Network and HGTV, as well as in many feature films.

Balch later formed Flint Creek Records, a recording studio, artists collective, and independent label that produced albums for singer-songwriters and other local and regional acts in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. During his tenure, the company earned Record of the Year and Producer of the Year nominations at the Dallas Observer Music Awards.
