The Set Decorators Society of America has announced the winners of this year’s SDSA Awards, which honor contemporary and period features, as well as sci-fi/fantasy movies and comedy/musicals.

Jane Campion‘s Netflix movie The Power of the Dog won the SDSA Award for Best Picture, yet it somehow lost to Being the Ricardos in the Period category for decor/design. It’s hard to make sense of that one, especially since the SDSA had no problem giving David Fincher‘s Mank both awards last year.

Elsewhere, No Time to Die won for contemporary feature film, while Dune was crowned the design king of 2021 fantasy/sci-fi movies and Wes Anderson‘s immaculate The French Dispatch was named the winner in the comedy/musical category.
