The Artist won a total of seven awards at the 2012 BAFTA Awards last night at the Royal Opera House in London, including best film, original music, cinematography, costume design, leading actor for Jean Dujardin and best director and original screenplay for Michel Hazanavicius. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Hugo, The Iron Lady and Senna each won two BAFTAs.
The BAFTA Fellowship, the highest accolade that the British Academy of Film and Television Arts can bestow, was presented to Martin Scorsese.
