Showrunner, Raj Kapoor, and executive producers Molly McNearney and Katy Mullan, behind this year’s Academy Awards recently announced members of their production team. The 96th Oscars, which is hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will bring back some familiar crew members.
Music director Rickey Minor and lighting designers Bob Dickinson and Noah Mitz are returning for the big event. Minor, in short, is true music man. He’s a composer and music producer, to name a few of his titles, and was the musical director for American Idol and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for several years. Bob Dickinson and Noah Mitz are repeat Emmy Nominees. The duo are go-to, in-demand lightning designers for award shows; they also previously worked on The Tony Awards and The Grammys.
The 96th Oscars, which is directed by Hamish Hamilton and features work from production designers Misty Buckley and Alana Billingsley, will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. More than 200 territories worldwide will have a live feed as the Academy celebrates films such as Barbie, Poor Things, Oppenheimer, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
