Facing storytelling challenges, little or no compensation and a lack of respect for the quality craftsmanship that takes years to achieve, both above-the-line and below-the-line talent face an unfamiliar frontier with the advent of new media.

Below the Line recently interviewed Anna Wilding at Digital Hollywood Spring, held April 29-May 2 at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Rey. An award-winning producer, director, writer, actress and former Hollywood executive, Wilding is the founder of Carpe Diem Films. She actively works on projects of all budget ranges in film, television and multimedia. Wilding discussed the obstacles and opportunities, as well as the new skill sets necessary to achieve success on the small screen.
