UCLA To Host Sixth Annual Sketch to Screen Costume Design Panel

-

UCLA will host the sixth annual Sketch to Screen Costume Design panel Feb. 27 at the school’s Schoenberg Hall. The event celebrates the costume designers nominated for Academy Awards this year.

The panelists include the four 2016 Oscar nominees, Jenny Beavan (Mad Max: Fury Road), Paco Delgado (The Danish Girl), Sandy Powell (Carol, Cinderella) and Jacqueline West (The Revenant), as well as Suttirat Anne Larlarb (Steve Jobs) and Michael Wilkinson (Joy), who was nominated for an Oscar in 2014 for his work on American Hustle.

Proceeds from the event will support UCLA’s David C. Copley Center for Costume Design, which provides a home for the research and the study of costume design history and the influence of costume design on film, fashion and popular culture.
