The Cinema Audio Society announced the timetable for the 49th annual CAS Awards.
“We are continuing to be totally electronic in our voting process again this year,” said David Fluhr, CAS president. “It has been extremely successful for the past two years resulting in an increase of CAS members voter participation. We are also delighted to be returning to the Crystal Ballroom of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The Biltmore has a rich heritage in both Los Angeles and in the film community.”
The timeline is as follows:
- Submission forms available online at CAS website: Oct. 15
- Entry submissions due by 5:00 p.m. (PST): Nov. 16
- Nominations ballot voting begins online: Dec. 12
- Nominations ballot voting ends online: 5:00 p.m. (PST) Jan. 4, 2013
- Final five nominees announced: Jan. 10, 2013
- Final voting begins online: Jan. 23, 2013
- Final voting ends online: 5:00 p.m. (PST) Feb. 8, 2013
The 49th Annual CAS Awards will be held Feb. 16, 2013 in The Crystal Ballroom of The Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles, Calif.
