Oscar-Nominated Production Designers and Set Decorators to Discuss their Craft

This year’s Oscar-nominated production designers and set decorators from The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Interstellar, Into the Woods and Mr. Turner will discuss their craft at the Art Directors Guild and Set Decorators Society of America‘s 9th annual The Art of Production Design panel on Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre in L.A.

The Art Directors Guild’s past president Thomas Walsh and SDSA member Rosemary Brandenburg will moderate the discussion panel, which includes production designer Adam Stockhausen and set decorator Anna Pinnock, The Grand Budapest Hotel; production designer Maria Djurkovic and set decorator Tatiana MacDonald, The Imitation Game; production designer Nathan Crowley and set decorator Gary Fettis, Interstellar; production designer Dennis Gassner and set decorator Anna Pinnock, Into The Woods and production designer Suzie Davies and set decorator Charlotte Watts, Mr. Turner.

Excerpts from each film will be shown prior to the design teams discussing their work.

The free event is part of the American Cinematheque‘s Awards Season seminars.
