The Costume Designers Guild announced the nominees for its 16th annual awards, which celebrate excellence in film, television and commercial costume design. The winners in seven competitive categories will be announced at the CDG Awards ceremony, scheduled for Feb. 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This year, acclaimed writer, producer and director, Judd Apatow will receive the distinguished collaborator award in recognition of his support of costume design and creative partnerships with costume designers. An honorary career achievement award will be presented to costume designer April Ferry for her outstanding work in film and television.
“As costume designers we take great pride in seeing our work on the screen, bringing characters to life through costumes,” said Salvador Perez Jr., president of the Costume Designers Guild Local #892. “The Costume Designers Guild would like to congratulate all of the nominees and we look forward to celebrating the art of costume design at our awards gala on Feb. 22.”
