WILDCHILD announced the addition of editors Richard Mettler and Stewart Shevin to its roster.

Mettler has a long history of editing commercials, music videos and motion pictures. Most recently Mettler cut the music video for Beyoncé’s single “Mine,” featuring Drake and directed by Pierre Debusschere. Mettler has worked with U.S. and international production companies, including collaborations with directors Laurent Chanez, Sean Ellis, Tim Richardson, Joe Wright, Sean Thonson, Steve Ayson, Pierluca De Carlo and Anthony Atanasio. Other recent projects include spots for Cartier, Nike, Mercedes, Cadillac, L’oreal, Maybelline, Volkswagen, Lenscrafters and Mastercard. Mettler also edited the Sundance 2013 World Cinema Audience Award winner and BAFT-nominated motion picture Metro Manila, as well as the short films Brace and Tribeca Film Festival nominee Space Cadet.

Shevin most recently worked at Beast Editorial. He has collaborated with agencies and brands including Toyota, Philips, Ford, Chevy, Navy and Discover Card. He has won numerous AICE (Association of Independent Creative Editors) and AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers) awards, most recently for work on King Condoms “Protect Yourself” and Stopthetraffick.org “Hide and Seek.” Outside of his editorial work, Shevin directed the “Of Note” spec for The New York Times. Shevin has been board member and chapter president of the AICE for eight years.

Animated Storyboards Opens Toronto Office

Animated Storyboards announced that it has launched a new office in Toronto. Maria Hanafy will lead the new studio as managing director, along with four additional staffers - a director, producer, marketing associate and animator/editor. This marks the 10th office for Animated Storyboards, with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, São Paulo, Bangkok, Tel Aviv, Düsseldorf and Shanghai. The 4,300-square-foot office will collaborate closely with sister facilities, whose global infrastructure currently includes nearly 300 full-time in-house illustrators, designers, directors, producers and 2D and 3D artists. The facility includes three edit suites, a state-of-the-art audio studio, a conference room and a spacious lobby area for client use.
