Art Directors Guild Extends Final Awards Voting Rights to All Members

-

The Art Directors Guild (ADG), IATSE Local 800 announced that it is expanding its final second-phase voting for winners of the guild’s Excellence in Production Design Awards to include all members of the crafts that make up the nearly 2,300-member guild, giving scenic, title and graphic artists; illustrators, storyboard artist and matte artists; and set design and model makers a vote for the first time. The change is effective with the upcoming ADG Awards, set for Jan. 31, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The ADG Council also announced it has voted to expand the honorary Lifetime Achievement Awards to include members selected from all four crafts.

Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated production designer Jim Bissell has been voted this year’s recipient of the ADG Council’s Lifetime Achievement honor. The additional three lifetime honorees will be announced in the near future.

Nominations for this year’s ADG Excellence in Production Design Awards will be announced on Jan. 5. The ADG will present winners in 10 competitive categories for theatrical films, television productions, commercials and music videos on Jan. 31.
