PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN is the only feature film to receive three
nominations (Dia/MX/FX).
COLD MOUNTAIN, KILL BILL, LAST SAMURAI, LORD OF THE RINGS, MASTER &
COMMANDER, SEABISCUIT and UNDERWORLD each received two noms.
In animated features, BROTHER BEAR, FINDING NEMO and JUNGLE BOOK 2
each received two noms (all Disney!).
In Longform Television, AND STARRING PANCHO VILLA AS HIMSELF was the
only film to receive three noms.
HITLER: RISE OF EVIL, THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS, SAVING JESSICA LYNCH,
and THE MUSIC MAN all received two noms.
In Episodic Television, AMERICAN DREAMS, CARNIVALE, ER, THIRD WATCH
and WITHOUT A TRACE received two noms.
In Episodic Animation, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS received two nominations
(and one for SPONGEBOB: THE RIDE in Special Venue).
In Student Film, USC nabbed three out of five nominations.
The awards will be presented at the 51st annual “Golden Reel” Awards
to be held February 28 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
Director Arthur Hiller will be presenting Don Hall with a Career
Achievement Award.
