The Cinema Audio Society has announced its nominees for the 60th Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing 2023. The nominees were selected by CAS members; they review hundreds of projects. On March 2nd, at the Beverly Hilton, the winners will be announced at the ceremony, where award-winning sound mixer Joe Earle CAS (Six Feet Under) will be honored with a Career Achievement Award.
In addition, students will be recognized for their work and the CAS will announce its newly elected CAS Board of Directors. “2023 posed numerous challenges for the industry, yet we remain deeply grateful for the abundance of contenders and truly impressed by the skills and talent displayed by the sound community,” said CAS President, Peter Kurland. “The upcoming awards promise a celebration of our community’s remarkable efforts, achievements and work. We extend heartfelt congratulations to all the deserving nominees.”
