Candida Conery, an industry hair stylist for three decades and an Emmy-nominee, was 52 when she died, Aug. 1 of breast cancer. Her film credits included Rich and Famous (1981), Annie (1982), Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) and The Fast and the Furious (2000). She was nominated for an Emmy for her work on Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story. Other television shows she worked on include L.A. Law and City Slickers.

Conery was an active member of Makeup Artist and Hairstylists Guild Local 706, and editor of The Artisan. She started Overhead Productions and Wigworks, two enterprises that supplied wigs, extensions and other hair items to movie and television productions. She is survived by her parents, a sister and three brothers.
