Oliver Bokelberg recently completed classes at the Safety Pass Program in Glendale, Calif., along with fellow cinematographer Philippe Rousselot. He was getting ready for Sundance and the screening of his film Loggerheads, a trio of overlapping stories of estranged families in three regions of North Carolina directed by Tim Kirkman. It is the genre polar opposite to his other domestic film being prepared for release, Strangers with Candy, a prequel to the Comedy Central series starring Amy Sedaris, directed by Paul Dinello and scripted by The Daily Show’s Steven Colbert, Dinello and Sedaris. Bokelberg also recently wrapped a feature shot in Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Barcelona, Ein Freund von Mir (A Friend of Mine) with director Sebastian Schipper.
