LR-David Kleinman & Brumby BoylstonmOcean, an entertainment advertising, marketing, branding and production company, announced the addition of Brumby Boylston as group creative director of entertainment marketing and David Kleinman as managing director of entertainment marketing. The new hires will spearhead a staff expansion within mOcean’s entertainment marketing division to provide clients with creative and production talent.

“Acquiring Brumby and David is an exciting move for mOcean,” said Michael McIntyre, president of mOcean. “Not only will our clients benefit from their ideas, direction and experience, but also our internal teams as we continue expanding into new creative spaces.”

He was previously co-founder/creative director at National Television, a bi-coastal production company specializing in design, animation, and live-action for brands and network clients, including American Express, ABC, Volvo, ING, ESPNU, SyFy and Disney. Prior to launching National Television, he was a writer/creator at Disney.

After graduating from USC ‘s Film School, Boylston’s first professional stint in live-action production was serving as a PA for Channel One News. His broadcast design and directing career continued at Fuel TV, also working at Brand New School and Logan. He later signed to RAW and Altura Films, and directed David Bowie‘s “New Killer Star” music video.

In partnership with Aratari, Kleinman will oversee all creative and production operations for the entertainment marketing group, which encompasses live-action production, motion graphics, content production, digital engagement and print key art. Since joining mOcean, he has already wrapped projects for Showtime, BET, and Discovery Channel.

Kleinman arrives at mOcean following a six-year tenure as executive producer at Blind Visual Propaganda. Prior to Blind, he served as R&D unit manager at Lightstorm Entertainment, collaborating with James Cameron and VFX supervisor Rob Legato to develop technologies and new workflow methodologies for the 2009 feature film Avatar. He entered the entertainment industry working on the live-action side as executive producer/head of production at Crash Films.
