CEO Doug Brandt

The Ant Farm, an entertainment-advertising agency, announced the appointment of Doug Brandt to chief executive officer/creative director, effective Jan. 1.

Brandt joins The Ant Farm from Industry Creative, a wholly owned division of The Ant Farm, where he served as creative director/senior editor. Brandt successfully built Industry Creative over a very short period as a new brand in an extremely competitive marketplace.

“The plan is to create an atmosphere that encourages talent to be innovative and pushes them to be their best,” Brandt commented. “The Industry Creative team will be welcomed into The Ant Farm as we become one brand. Because editing is my passion, I will never stop doing it.”

With 15 years of experience in entertainment advertising, Brandt has been making award-winning theatrical advertising, collaborating with every major studio and earning the trust of top filmmakers. Over the course of his career, he has performed many tasks, from creative directing motion graphics to running his own sound design and music company, all while being one of the busiest editors in the business. Brandt is known best for creating innovative campaigns for films such as the Transformers series, Battle: LA, 2012, Spider-Man, Cloverfield, and Kill Bill.

Brandt succeeds Rodd Perry as CEO, who will continue to play a key role at The Ant Farm.
