Todd Soundelux announced that Sara Duran-Singer will serve as its new chief executive officer. Duran-Singer, with more than 25 years of experience in the postproduction business, joins the company from Walt Disney Studios, where she most recently served as senior vice president of worldwide postproduction. In this position, Duran-Singer was responsible for the operational and strategic planning for the company’s postproduction units, as well as serving as the executive lead for the restoration and preservation efforts for the studio’s legacy live action and animated titles.
Todd Soundelux provides creative postproduction sound services for feature films, television, commercials and interactive entertainment, under the brand names of Todd-AO, Soundelux, POP Sound, Modern Music, Soundelux Design Music Group and The Hollywood Edge.
“The opportunity to lead an organization consisting of historically significant and storied Hollywood brands, such as Todd-AO and Soundelux, is quite exciting and represents both a great privilege and an equal amount of responsibility,” said Duran-Singer. “Having spent more than 25 years in this business, I have acquired great admiration and respect for these iconic companies and the people who have helped build these companies into globally recognized leaders in creative and technical excellence.”
“We are very pleased to be able to bring a leader of Sara’s caliber to Todd Soundelux,” said company owner David Alfonso. “Our vision, when we acquired this company last year, was to develop and position the organization for growth and creative leadership for the future. To this end, we engaged in a lengthy and thorough search for an executive with strong professional and leadership credentials, but also someone who fully understands and appreciates the unique context of a company culture that values and nurtures individuality and creativity.”
