Director Denis Henry Hennelly’s Goodbye World, screening at the L.A. Film Festival this week, is the story of seven estranged college friends who try to build a new world after an anonymous mass text triggers an apocalyptic social collapse.

The director shared how key collaborators – co-writer/producer, Sarah Adina Smith (The Sirens), producer Mary Pat Bentel, cinematographer Jeff Bollman, production designers Katie Byron and Rachael Ferrara, editor Greg O’Bryant, and production sound mixer Josh Bissett – became part of the ensemble while making of the film.

Goodbye World will screen at 9:40 p.m., Thursday, June 20 (99 min.) at the L.A. Film Festival.
