Hollywood Teen Film Camp Hits Southern California

-

A group of film industry professionals, educators and artists have come together to launch a film production camp for teenagers – Hollywood Teen Film Camp. The goal is to provide young people with a film making experience in the movie capital of the world, while creating a starting point for a career in film.

The camp launches summer, 2014, for teens ages 14-18. Participants will experience the film camp in a Southern California setting complete with classroom, pool and recreational facilities. Every day, the teens will learn from a different film industry professional, such as Yangzom Brauen, actress, Roman Wyden, producer, Jo Kelly, acting coach, Alberto Engeli, camera operator, Mirj Sofro-Gschwind, make-up artist, Alphons Greber, camp director, Oliver Keller, stunt man, and many more. Students will be able to practice each new topic immediately. Teams will produce short films, demonstrating their skills in camera operation, storyboarding, directing, lighting, sound and picture editing. Coaches will assist the young filmmakers in the production of their work and expose them to the most popular digital editing software and equipment.

In addition, the young adults will be driven to film industry locations where they will learn various crafts firsthand. Relaxing outings to the beach, Disneyland, Universal Studios and other locations are on the agenda as well.

Camp Dates include “Session 1” from June 29-July 18, and “Session 2” from July 20-August 8.
