Cary Flaum Joins Shilo as Executive Producer and Head of Production

Shilo has hired veteran VFX producer and postproduction supervisor Cary Flaum as executive producer and head of production.

Flaum’s expertise in VFX, design, motion graphics and CG, as well as editorial and finishing allows him to take any project from camera through to completion.

Most recently he has been freelancing in his native New York City. He recently worked with Nice Shoes as the post producer for a 180-degree format live show open for Maybelline, as well as spots for Google TV. He also served as postproduction supervisor for an immersive film experience directed by Kanye West from Good Company, which premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Between 1999 and 2011, Flaum held senior staff production and management positions with Smoke and Mirrors, Perception, mad.house and Version 2.

“I have always been impressed and interested in Shilo’s amazing creative over the years,” said Flaum. “Working with them on a freelance basis gave me close insight into their creative genius, and being asked to come on staff in the capacity to lead production is something I’ve been working toward my entire career.”

“Cary is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all areas of production and post, ” said Shilo director and founder Jose Gomez. “He also understands all aspects of the overall business; he knows lots of people; he’s a great team player, and he works well with everyone.”
