Company 3 Promotes Nick Monton

-

Post house Company 3 announced the promotion of its DI (digital intermediate) producer, Nick Monton, to head of production, features, at its New York facility. Monton has relocated to Manhattan from Company 3’s Santa Monica location, where he served as senior DI producer on many studio blockbusters, independents and documentaries.

“Nick brings an enormous amount of experience, talent and technical expertise to the New York operation,” said Stuart Robinson, general manager of the New York branches of Company 3 and its sister company, VFX house Method Studios. “This city’s production and post industries have been expanding at an incredible rate; we are seeing an explosion in the number of feature film productions shooting and posting in New York, as well as growth in the scope of some of those projects. Nick has a comprehensive understanding of the complex workflow involved in posting larger, VFX-intensive features, but also of the challenges facing independent filmmakers with far more limited resources.”

“This is a wonderful opportunity,” Monton said. “New York is fast becoming a major production hub, and I am very excited to be able to help make Company 3 a vital part of that industry.”

As DI producer at Company 3 in Santa Monica, Monton worked with filmmakers including J.J. Abrams, Michael Mann, Ridley Scott, Gore Verbinski and Brett Ratner.
