Imagineer Systems has teamed up with Boris FX to launch a new Motion Tracking for Editors bundle – an affordable motion tracking toolset designed to work with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Apple FCP 7, Motion and Sony Vegas Pro.
Available immediately for $299, the Motion Tracking for Editors bundle includes Imagineer Systems’ newest release of mocha AE v2.6.1 and the Boris Continuum Motion Tracker Unit from Boris FX.
Mocha AE is a stand alone planar tracking and roto tool that enables artists to tackle the most challenging tracking projects. The Boris Continuum Motion Tracker Unit delivers match move, corner pin, witness protection face blurring and wire removal capabilities. The package enables users to export tracking data from mocha AE directly to Boris Continuum Complete, giving editors access to more visual effects capabilities within their host system.
“Traditionally motion tracking has been the compositors’ area of expertise, but increasingly, editors are required to do more – such as replace content on cell phones, track graphics to match motion and stabilize jittery footage,” said Ross Shain, chief marketing officer for Imagineer Systems. “The new Motion Tracking for Editors bundle delivers significant value for editors, offering seamless export from mocha AE to Boris Continuum Complete and broad support for many of the industry popular editing systems, like After Effects, Media Composer, Premiere, Final Cut and Sony Vegas. Working together with Boris, we’re offering new ways that editors can increase their finishing capabilities: using the BCC point tracker for simple tracking and leveraging mocha’s powerful planar tracking for solving the most difficult tracking shots.”
“Boris Continuum Complete allows editors to import motion tracking data from any mocha product into BCC filters,” said Dirk de Jong, senior product manager, Boris FX. “We are thrilled to partner with Imagineer Systems to deliver best-of-breed tracking, rotoscoping, and VFX software to editors at significant bundle savings.”
According to Vincent Maza, worldwide marketing manager for Avid, “The introduction of mocha’s planar tracking import to Avid Media Composer is a game changer for editors who are looking to take creativity to the next level – effortless and straight from their timeline.”
