Pacific Standard Sound, the award-winning sound design company responsible for the auditory magic behind Oscar-nominated films Roma and The Batman and Emmy-winning TV series Stranger Things, is thrilled to announce the addition of Kristin Mann to its team as Head of Production.

Mann, a seasoned producer with an impressive portfolio of critically-acclaimed films, brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a robust creative vision to her new role. Raised in central Arkansas, Mann cut her teeth in the industry as an Associate Producer, contributing to the production of globally recognized films such as Mud, Midnight Special, and the documentary, Voyage of Time.

Carving her unique path in the industry, Mann went solo to produce the independent feature ‘Poor Boy’, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. Her feature film, the coming-of-age 1960s drama To The Stars, celebrated its world premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and was released by Samuel Goldwyn Films in 2020, shortly followed by the Lionsgate release of her film, The Quarry.

Most recently, Mann produced the romantic comedy What Happens Later, directed by Meg Ryan and starring Ryan and David Duchovny, set for a U.S. theatrical release by Bleecker Street.

In her new role as Head of Production at Pacific Standard Sound, Mann will blend her deep understanding of storytelling and film production with the creative ethos of the company. Founded by acclaimed Sound Designers Craig Henighan and Will Files, Pacific Standard Sound has become a beacon of excellence in the realm of sound design for a variety of high-profile projects.

“We are thrilled to have Kristin join our team as Head of Production. Her extensive experience with filmmakers and unwavering dedication to quality align perfectly with the values we uphold at Pacific Standard Sound,” said Files and Henighan.

The creative team’s portfolio includes a vast array of successful films such as Deadpool, War for the Planet of the Apes, Prey, Venom, Flamin’ Hot, Ghosted, Halloween, Devotion, The Adam Project, Free Guy, and The Whale. Their expertise extends to television, with contributions to series like Love Death & Robots and Cobra Kai.

“Craig and Will have built a company that is synonymous with top-tier sound design. I am excited to join Pacific Standard Sound to continue working with filmmakers and sound artists in this new capacity and fostering an environment that encourages creativity and innovation,” said Mann.

Pacific Standard Sound continues to push the boundaries in sound design, with Mann’s appointment further solidifying its commitment to creativity, excellence, and groundbreaking work in the industry.
