As one of the film industry’s early DI producers and with over 23 years in post-production, Zara Park is joining HARBOR‘s Los Angeles studio as Director, Picture Post, effective August 16.

Her new position at HARBOR will have her oversee and execute all aspects of picture post – dailies, conform, visual effects, color correction, and deliverables.

Bringing a wealth of expertise and industry contacts, from time spent in senior roles with Modern VideoFilm, Technicolor, and Light Iron, Zara’s priority is creating the best possible client experience, as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies and finding solutions for even the most complicated and forward-thinking workflows. Career highlights have included major projects such as Avatar, Mindhunter, Mank, Rob Zombie’s 31, and Wes Anderson‘s The Grand Budapest Hotel.

HARBOR Founder and CEO Zak Tucker announced the appointment, saying in a statement, “Zara’s trusted reputation with filmmakers goes hand-in-hand with Harbor’s committed goal of innovating the creative process from set to screen. Her addition reinforces our global vision to bring an elevated creative experience to our clients with consistent artistry and production value for every project that comes through our doors. I am thrilled to have her join HARBOR and enthusiastically anticipate the continuous growth of our feature and episodic division in the Los Angeles studio.”

Commenting on her arrival at HARBOR, Ms. Park said: “I love the boutique feel of HARBOR. It takes real pride and care in its projects, yet it also has the power of a larger company behind it so it’s always at the forefront of new technologies, workflows and equipment. It makes a big difference when a client comes to a facility and it’s obvious that everyone really enjoys working together. I’m really looking forward to becoming part of that ‘work family’.”

HARBOR is a global company with operations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and London. Relentlessly focused on talent, technical innovation, and protection of artistic vision, HARBOR hones every detail throughout the moving image-making process: live-action, dailies, creative and offline editorial, design, animation, visual effects, CG, sound and picture finishing.
