The Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) has announced the dates for its SDSA Awards Film – 2021, celebrating the work of Set Decorators and their colleagues with Best Achievement in Film 2021.
The SDSA AWARDS categories are as follows:
BEST PICTURE
BEST ACHIEVEMENT IN DECOR/DESIGN OF A FEATURE FILM – PERIOD
BEST ACHIEVEMENT IN DECOR/DESIGN OF A FEATURE FILM – FANTASY
BEST ACHIEVEMENT IN DECOR/DESIGN OF A FEATURE FILM – CONTEMPORARY
BEST ACHIEVEMENT IN DECOR/DESIGN OF A FEATURE FILM – MUSICAL/COMEDY
The categories are highlighting feature-length films and shall exclude documentaries and animated motion pictures. Honorary awards will be noted in future announcements.
Important Dates:
Round One: The initial voting period to determine the Nominees will be Jan 7 – 14.
Following vote tabulations, the SDSA will announce the Nominees in each category on Jan 17th.
Round Two: The final voting period will be Feb 2 – Feb 11. The Awards in each category will be announced on Feb 22.
