Streamland Media has named industry veteran Nathan Boyd as its new Chief Information Officer. A highly regarded IT executive and leader, Boyd’s successful career spans media, technology, government, and future transportation. Most recently, he served as Head of IT for Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment.

Boyd will be responsible for Streamland Media’s global IT infrastructure and strategic planning, as well as the implementation of related technologies and management of a global staff.

“Nathan has joined us during this transformational time and global growth,” Streamland CEO Bill Romeo said in a statement. “His experience is unparalleled, both in terms of his depth of knowledge and his demonstrated skill in leading technological advancement within organizations.”

“I’m looking forward to being part of Streamland Media as the company continues to expand its offerings worldwide,” added Boyd. “This is an exciting time for our industry, and for the company itself, as we embrace new, flexible solutions and services that need to be supported by innovative technology.”

During his time at Warner Bros., Boyd led the transformation of a global IT organization profitably and efficiently, transforming the technology organization from an ad hoc IT organization to an agile enterprise technology organization. Prior to WB, Boyd was VP of Production IT Operations at Deluxe, where he ran the Production Entertainment systems and support teams, Global Operations Center, Service Desk, Service Delivery Management, and Governance departments.

He has also held leadership positions at Virgin Hyperloop, Data Direct Networks, and within the City of Pasadena. Boyd holds a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Wales and is finishing an additional degree in Cyber Security. He will be based at Streamland Media’s Los Angeles headquarters.

Meanwhile, Streamland also announced that its Farm Group teams will become part of the company’s picture division, Picture Shop, as well as its sound division, Formosa Group. This move continues to promote the Streamland Media brand strategy of providing four key services to post-production clients organized under its four global, division-level brands: Picture Shop and Formosa Group, plus its visual effects division Ghost VFX, and its marketing division, Picture Head.

“The integration of The Farm Group into our Picture Shop and Formosa Group divisions will allow our clients to benefit further from Streamland Media’s global community,” Romeo said in a separate statement. “These creative teams, as well as our powerful technology core, will continue to support our clients on their most challenging and groundbreaking productions.”

“Over the past 30 years, Streamland Media’s UK-based teams have grown to be a trusted, integral solution for producers. That unmatched level of service will continue,” added Romeo.

The Farm Group was purchased by Streamland Media in 2019, and its transition to Picture Shop and Formosa Group will advance over the next several months, with no disruption to the teams’ award-winning services.

“We’re looking forward to having these outstanding artists and professionals continue their incredible work at Picture Shop and Formosa Group,” said Romeo. “Across the globe, we are building on a great foundation and expanding clients’ creative capabilities. With the strength of all Streamland Media behind us and the incredible team in the UK, we remain dedicated to maintaining the close relationships and outstanding service upon which our customers rely.”
