The 2022/23 season of the Prime Time Softball League is over, and the official winners of this weekend’s League Championship game is… The Rookie!
The team put together by the ABC series took on the team from CBS‘ CSI Vegas, a new team in the league this season, with both teams going into the championship with an impeccable 11 to 1 standing. Not other team in this year’s league came even close. The last time the two teams faced off was in Week 5 on Oct. 8 when the literal rookies in CSI Vegas defeated the veterans from The Rookie (who were in a very close third place last season) in a 14 to 6 game.
The championship game was much tighter with The Rookie just eking out a win over their rivals by just two points in a 12 to 10 final score. And yet, The Rookie was ahead by 8 to 0, but by the fifth inning, CSI Vegas had tied things up for a 10 to 10 score. Again, another very close game.
The Prime Time Softball League is made-up of 10 co-ed teams comprised of the cast, crew, staff, and their immediate family from currently-airing prime-time television shows. Expect it to be back in September for a new season, and if you’re working on a prime-time television show, get your team ready!
