20th Century Fox and New Regency released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Alejandro Gonzales Iñárritu film The Revenant, scheduled for release Dec. 25. Based on a true story, the film tells the story of hunter Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) who is severely injured and left for dead in the wilderness by a traitorous member of his team, John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).
For The Revenant, Iñárritu has once again teamed with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, who shot the film entirely using natural light.
