Light of Day Signs Natalie Wollman as Colorist

Natalie Wollman
New York-based visual effects studio Light of Day has hired Natalie Wollman as the studio’s new colorist. She brings more than 10 years of experience in the European and Asian TV and film market to role.

“Colorists are a critical member of any VFX A-team,” said Light of Day managing partner Amy Taylor. “We are thrilled to have Natalie join Light of Day, her drive and artistic sensibility will be a great asset to us as we continue to push the creative and technical boundaries of commercial effects.”

Wollman has worked with well-known cinematographers Pawel Edelman and Slawomir Idziak on advertising campaigns for Pantene, Nokia, Toyota, VW, Chevrolet and Pepsi.

Earlier in her career, Wollman was a colorist for Bavarian Film Studios before freelancing for major production companies including Chimney Pot (Warsaw), Condor (Dubai), The Gate (Athens), Okra (Warsaw), The Gate (Lebanon) and Cinemedia (Berlin, Munich).

“Light of Day features a beautiful studio atmosphere and equally appealing is the talented team of people here. Both of these elements were appealing as I considered joining the company,” said Wollman. “I’m also eager to participate in helping further build our colorist department and capabilities. It’s a great creative opportunity and I’m up for it.”

Her award-winning projects include two best music clips for MTV, “commercial of the year” in India and the Chimney award. Wollman has also written screenplays, made documentaries and directed a short film that won the Bavarian Film Prize.

“Having traveled and worked internationally the past decade, I have finally landed in New York, and living in the city and with Light of Day feels like a homecoming,” said Wollman.
