The UK has long been a major hub of film talent. Drawing upon its ancient theatrical traditions, Britain has produced some of the finest actors, writers and directors the film history. Now, you can add production designers to that list. What follows are spotlights on four production designers, some of whom no longer call the UK home, but still have emerged through dedication, hard work and creative vision as major talents in the field. Their work stands out, creating amazing worlds from the gothic look of Hogwarts, to the most recent incarnation of Metropolis, the Forbidden City or the everyday life of modern royalty.
