Lucky Post announced that it has hired editor Nick Lofting, whose work encompasses many genres and styles, from drama to comedy and the subtle shades in between. At Lucky Post, Lofting will join its editing team including editors Logan Hefflefinger and Sai Selvarajan.

“Lucky Post feels like home,” said Lofting. “Mind you, a spectacularly fancy home with a rather large and eclectic family reminiscent of Fraggle Rock. There’s genuine camaraderie and professional respect, which provides balance to my waggish insolence.”

Lofting was born and raised in London and started his path to editor in what he considers his “University” at Saatchi & Saatchi U.K. and GPY&R (formerly George Patterson Bates) Sydney. Later, an apprenticeship with editor Sam Sneade would become instrumental in his editing career. Crediting Smuggler with his break into the U.S., Nick worked with directing team Happy on the short film Jane Lloyd. Since then, his talents have spread across editorial companies in New York and Los Angeles while he enjoyed close collaborations with Rabbit Content and directors DarkFibre, Douglas Avery and Michael Williams.

In recent years, Lofting has worked on advertising projects for agencies CP+B, Havas and Ogilvy & Mather, for Kraft, Netflix and Renault. Other projects include the AICP Show-honored Laura Ashley, “Sasha,” a charming narrative about a unique girl who makes the world her own, and the MVPA award-winning music video for Solange Knowles entitled “Losing You.” In addition to Jane Lloyd, Lofting’s film projects include the brutally honest Save The Congo, Unwatchable, the opening sequence for Dawn of The Dead – winner of a D&AD and Circle Award in collaboration with Kyle Cooper and Platinum Weird – a mockumentary for VH-1.
