Guild of Music Supervisors Announces 11th Annual Award Nominees

Music SupervisorsThe Guild of Music Supervisors has announced the nominees for its 11th annual awards, celebrating outstanding achievement in the craft of Music Supervision in film, television, games, advertising, and trailers. The 11th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards ceremony will take place virtually on Sunday, April 11.

Maureen Crowe, the founding President of the Guild of Music Supervisors, will receive the organization’s prestigious Legacy Award, honoring those music supervisors who have excelled within the craft of music supervision. As announced earlier, this year’s Icon Award honoree will be the legendary Quincy Jones. Both will receive their honors at the virtual ceremony.

Pixar’s SoulBill & Ted Face the MusicEurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire SagaI’m Your WomanMa Rainey’s Black BottomPalm Springs and Promising Young Woman were nominated in the motion picture category (of which there are four for various budgets), while Better Call SaulWatchmenThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You were nominated for music supervision on television.

In the Best Song Written and/or Recorded for Film and the coinciding television category, the Songwriters, Artists and Music Supervisors are all nominated together. On the film side, the nominees were “Turntables” from All In: The Fight for Democracy, “Love Myself” from The High Note, “Mark It Work” from Jingle Jangle, “Carried Me With You” from Onward, and “Hear my Voice” from The Trial of the Chicago 7.
