The 2021 Writers Guild Awards (73rd Annual) will be presented at concurrent ceremonies on Sunday, March 21, 2021, in Los Angeles and New York. The Writers Guild Awards (WGA) honor outstanding writing in film, television, new media, news, radio/audio, and promotional categories. The timeline for the awards is below.

December 2020:
December 11th – Deadline for submissions: Series (Drama, Comedy, New); TV-Radio/Audio-New Media Scripts and Paul Selvin Award (WGAW)
January 2021:
January 4th – Preliminary Series (Drama, Comedy, New) online voting begins
January 20th – Deadline for Preliminary Series (Drama, Comedy, New) online voting
January 22nd – Deadline for submissions: Screenplays (Original, Adapted, Documentary)
January 29th – Preliminary Screenplay (Original, Adapted) online voting begins
February 2021:
February 3rd – Television, New Media, News, Radio/Audio, and Promotional Writing Nominations Announced
February 12th – Deadline for Preliminary Screenplay (Original, Adapted) online voting
February 16th – Screenplay (Original, Adapted, Documentary) Nominations Announced
