BAFTA Awards Nominations Revealed

38 films are nominated at this year’s BAFTA Awards 2024. Many powerhouse award-favorites, such as BarbieThe Holdovers, OppenheimerPoor Things, and Past Lives are nominated in several categories. Oppenheimer, for example, is nominated in 13 categories, including best costume design, score, production design, and of course, film and director.

Having said that, there’s still variety among the nominees, which Jane Millichip, who’s the CEO of BAFTA, takes pride in. The 38 films nominated by BAFTA voters today span an extraordinary range of genres and stories,” she said. “The field this year is incredibly strong. More films were entered, making the selection process particularly tough for our voting members. The films and talented people nominated represent some of the most talked about films of the year, the most critically acclaimed, and films yet to be released and discovered by audiences.”

One of those films in need of more discovery this awards season is the fantastic Ferrari. A technical marvel. The sound team behind it, rightfully so, are among the nominees:
