The 75th Emmy Awards Are Postponed

-

The 75th Emmy Awards ceremony is delayed. Originally scheduled to take place and air on September 18th, the celebration of the arts has been postponed due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Variety reported vendors were informed of the delay. It’s the first time since 2001 that the ceremony won’t move forward as originally scheduled. The TV Academy is hoping for a November airdate, while Fox is less optimistic and eyeing January 2024.

For the Creative Arts Emmys, which were scheduled for September 8th and 9th, they’ll move to an unspecified date as well. However, voting will resume as planned. The Television Academy already made it clear that Phase 2 will remain. The final round of voting goes from August 17th to August 28th.

Stay tuned for more Emmy coverage and updates from Below-The-Line.”
