Editorial facility Beast announced that it has hired Helena Lee as executive producer, Beast, New York and Lisa Houck as West Coast outside sales representative. Beast is the editorial component of Deluxe‘s global creative services group, which also includes Company 3, which specializes in feature and commercial post, and Method Studios, which specializes in visual effects.
“Helena has shown throughout her career that she does understand what good solid creative work is,” said Jon Ettinger, executive producer at Beast, San Francisco. “And she has also shown the ability to go out and get that work.” Lee honed her skills at premier postproduction houses Red Car and Rock Paper Scissors and previously worked as a freelance producer for creative agencies Berlin Cameron, TBWA Chiat Day and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
Houck, founder and president of Salon, will work in Beast’s L.A. offices covering the Los Angeles, Austin and San Francisco regions. Her production skills were polished in the development of Method Studios’ Method Labs as she led the company’s visual effects group, working with a wide range of clients. “Lisa is a great addition to our company because she represents diverse and creative talent,” Ettinger said. “And she has a long-standing relationship with top players in our industry.”
