Buster Hires Two New Executive Creative Directors

L.A.-based design and animation studio Buster has hired Joseph Kiely as the company’s new executive creative director for motion graphics, and Neville Burtis as executive creative director of the agency’s print, outdoor and digital division, BusterINK.

“Joseph Kiely brings his extensive experience implementing creative strategy, visual branding and consumer and entertainment marketing and promotion expertise to Buster,” company chief creative officer/executive producer Jonas Morganstein said. “Concurrently, Neville now leads the charge at BusterINK, where he will continue to develop our core TV client base while also expanding our business into theatrical marketing.”

Kiely has spent the last 10 years building and leading the design team at Viewpoint Creative in Boston. While at Viewpoint, Kiely supervised high-profile brand makeovers for HBO and HGTV as well as consumer brands Staples, Lowe’s and Timberland.

Kiely began his career in the music industry, working with such iconic music brands and artists as Neil Diamond, Dwight Yoakam, The Grammy Awards and Warner Music. He later transitioned into advertising, and while based in Chicago worked with several agencies including DDB, on behalf of consumer brands such as Dove, Whirlpool and State Farm.

Before joining BusterINK, Burtis co-founded Art Machine in 1999. In 2007, Art Machine merged with Trailer Park. While with Art Machine, Burtis worked on such studio tentpole motion pictures as The Dark Knight Rises, X-Men and Star Trek.
