Cut+Run has welcomed executive producer Deanne Mehling to lead the editorial company’s growing presence in San Francisco. Mehling, most recently the EP of Arcade, has been a driving force for such companies as Chrome, Jigsaw and Satellite Films “After working in Los Angeles for the last 20 years, I’m excited about exploring the rich opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area with Cut+Run,” Mehling said. “With the continuing growth that Cut+Run has enjoyed and its pool of incredible talent to draw from in L.A., New York, London and Hong Kong, the timing was right for us to join forces and head north to one of the country’s leading creative hotbeds.”
Having a locally based executive producer was a natural evolution for the company, which has contributed to various San Francisco-based projects including the 2012 Clio Award-winning Audi, “Ahab” for Venables, Bell & Partners.
“Deanne and I have wanted to work together for a long time. The opportunity for her to helm our new San Francisco venture was a dream come true,” said U.S. managing director Michelle Burke. “Deanne will help us expand our brand and services in San Francisco. In addition to her amazing skillset, her special energy and spirit are a perfect fit at Cut+Run. The company is blessed to have such a talented team come together in the past couple of years.”
